Grassroots Foundation participated at Ayurveda 2009 exhibition at BMICH.

 

Ayurveda 2009, the International Ayurveda Exhibition and Symposium organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) was held at the BMICH from May 23-25, with many Sri Lankan and international participants

 

The exhibition was ceremonially declared open by Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake on May 23, in the presence of local and foreign dignitaries. The Prime Minister mentioned that developing local industries such as Ayurveda is a priority of the government; he would extend his fullest support to make Ayurveda a key contributor to the GDP

 

Exhibitors from eight countries, including Sri Lanka, India, Germany, UK, China, and Japan, ranging from the largest companies to small and medium sized  enterprises, totalling 130 companies, participated at Ayurveda 2009. The best of Sri Lankan Ayurveda companies which produce traditional cosmetics and  spa and branded Ayurvedic products; Ayurveda health resorts; foreign natural product companies; natural beverage companies; Yoga and meditation centres; booksellers of Ayurveda, meditation and Yoga; medicinal plant growers and sellers; were some of the participants  at the exhibition.

 

At the SME pavilion Grassroots foundation (GRF) also exhibited wild organic bee’s honey to introduced and promote this wonder bee’s honey for the general public. There were considerable crowed gathered around the GRF stall during the period of three days from 23rd may 25th to 25th May 2009. They were highly interested to purchase genuine pure natural wonder bee and they were informed by three officers of GRF the available places to buy when they want it.
